The Maritime Violin of Jasper Wood is an inspirational performance narrative hosted by Violinist Jasper Wood.

After traveling the world and garnering international critical acclaim for his solo performances with orchestras and chamber music concerts, Jasper Wood returns home to his roots.

The Maritime Violin of Jasper Wood is a pilgrimage back to a place where violin playing is a time honoured tradition deeply infused in the culture, from down home kitchen parties to classical music concerts.
Jasper introduces us to the legendary musicians who influenced the indigenous maritime fiddle sound and who continue to perform, compose and teach - inspiring generations of violinists.

An entertaining meld of classical violin and folk fiddling performances, folklore storytelling, and intimate conversations, The Maritime Violin of Jasper Wood is an ode to past, present and future musicians.
