We have a vision to increase the number of “Farmers” in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Fercomex is a project that has been underway for 10 years now.
Fercomex is raising funds to create centre for farming education to encourage people there to go into farming as the majority of young people are attracted to work in the mines.
FER (ferme) COM (communitaire) EX (experimentale) or in English “community experimental farm” , is in an area of the Congo that has both water and arable land available, yet few see farming as a viable way of making a living.
